Keyrook is the brand of BRICK IT ALL LLC. We make tools that do their work on your own device, hold as little about you as they can, and show their work — so that trusting them is something you can check rather than something you are asked for.
Our principles
The rules every Keyrook tool keeps
A tool that holds the keys to your accounts should know as little about you as it can, and show its work. These six rules are how; each is true of Keyrook Authenticator as it ships.

Encrypted where you are
What a tool keeps is sealed on your own device, with AES-256-GCM under a key only you hold. Nothing readable is written to disk.

A server that cannot read
Sync is end-to-end encrypted. The server is treated as a stranger: it holds only what it cannot open, and your devices refuse anything it has altered.

Open source
The code is published under GPL-3.0. Read it, build it yourself, and compare your build with the one the store ships.

Nothing reports back
No analytics, no ads, no trackers: not in the tools, and not on this site, which loads nothing from anywhere else.

Only the access the job needs
A tool asks for what its job needs and no more. Keyrook Authenticator cannot read the websites you visit; it touches a page only when you open it there.

Plain about limits
When something cannot be done safely, or does not work on your system, we say so rather than promise it does.
The name and the mark
Why a crow?
A rook is two things: a piece in chess, and a bird of the crow family. Crows are known for picking things up and keeping them. Ours keeps a key.
It is drawn by hand, in crayon, on purpose. A security tool that looks like a person made it is easier to trust than one that looks like a vault door. Its feathers are four crayons, and each has one job in everything Keyrook makes: blue acts, red warns of danger, yellow asks for care, green says it worked.
The crow marks only what Keyrook itself speaks for — this site, the Keyrook account, the emails it sends. Each product wears its own mark, drawn in the same hand.
